I published a short book with The Millions.
It's the story of the Pioneer Anomaly, a long-standing mystery. The book is short and fun—the length of a novella—but also, in the words of Amazon's reviewer, "powerful and sad". For The Atlantic, a story about the impact AI is having on math, most recently in a mass dump of 377 claimed proofs by OpenAI on October 6, 2026. The thesis of the piece is that AI is making it much more difficult to transmit mathematical knowledge from one generation to the next, which imperils the whole technological infrastructure we have built that relies on math.
